I contacted Joelia at around 37 weeks and she really came through, even with such short notice. Not only is she a friend of mine & my husbands, but she is also a Christ-follower, which made our decision to have her as our doula that much easier. She was highly equipped to care for me during my very intense labor, and she also prayed for and over me. Which she was prayerful, she was also very professional. She treated myself and my body with respect and honor, and never made me feel uncomfortable during labor/delivery. I would (and will) recommend her to absolutely anyone I know who is looking for a doula!

As first time parents, my husband and I felt completely in the dark since our providers gave us almost no real information, and the fear of the unknown was starting to get overwhelming. The moment we met Joelia, everything changed. She walked us through every single detail with such honesty, patience, and passion that we finally had peace of mind. She’s incredibly knowledgeable (you can tell she speaks from both deep study as a professional and her own experience as a mother), intuitive, and attentive in the most loving way. It never felt like “business” it felt like a real relationship with someone who truly cares. Her wisdom and kindness reminded me of Proverbs 31:26: “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” If you’re looking for a doula who will show up for you with honesty, wisdom, and heart from start to finish, Joelia is the one. I'll be honest — as a first-time dad I didn't fully understand what a doula even was when my wife first brought it up. Now I can tell you that Joelia changed the entire experience of becoming a father for me. What she provided went way beyond doula services. She was a mentor and a guide for us as a couple. The advice she gave my wife on exercises, nutrition, and mental and spiritual preparation made a real difference — our daughter arrived healthy, and my wife had the birth she hoped for with no complications. That doesn't happen by accident. From a husband's perspective, one of the hardest things about pregnancy is feeling helpless. Joelia gave me peace of mind because I could see how prepared and confident my wife was becoming. She equipped us both. Her postpartum support was just as strong. She stayed with us through the fears and questions that come with bringing a newborn home, and never once made us feel like we were bothering her.
